Format & Publish Your Content Across Multiple Platforms

By Joe Griffin

Wouldn't it be great if you become one of the first publishers of magazines exclusively for iPad, or become a big time sensation in the blogging world with your tiny iPhone? Publisha can make these visions come to life.

Digital publishing will never be the same again, thanks to the new free-browser based solution called Publisha. It is a new platform that offers an innovative way to format and publish your own written content across multiple digital platforms at once, including the Internet, RSS, Facebook, iPad, and iPhone. Publisha brings to the table social media promise, built-in analytics, and positive revenue streams for its users.

Publisha is originally created for those who are interested to establish their own publishing businesses for various online platforms from a single location. Publisha was established by the team of Publisha's CEO Ian Howlett, CTO Richard Hart, investor Chris Mottes, and head of marketing Anna Sjöström in London, England last year. The company started with a simple idea that anyone, regardless of technical knowledge and financial capabilities, can start a publishing business for any digital platform.

Probably the best feature of this service is that it is free of charge. Publisha is an easy-to-use integrated system that gives users publishing power and full control over your content at no extra costs. It becomes possible for anyone, from novice bloggers to high-profile professionals in the magazine and news industry, to create content and attract more readers from the most-read media of today.

You can start publishing through Publisha by gathering your content, such as text, photos, video and audio, and uploading them in the Publisha database. Then, you can decide and pick which content you plan to publish for all platforms. You also have the freedom to choose how your content will look like to give it a personalized feel for your audience. Your articles would appear as a free-standing online magazine on the Internet, as well as the mobile web. You can track all of your articles, subscriptions, and newsletter memberships through Publisha Web.

Publisha also integrates your online content to Facebook as a tab on your Facebook fan page that directs to your site. You can attract more readers in Facebook by inviting more fans and interacting with them. You can also organize your different content into categories while your readers can browse through them and comment. You may also create polls about your featured content.

An exciting feature of this service is creating a miniature version of your online magazine for the iPhone and iPad, so your readers can still view your content on the go. These user friendly versions still feature a full range of options for your audience's reading pleasure, like content sharing and posting comments.

According to the company's CEO, Ian Howlett, Publisha solely focuses on bringing the most convenient environment and tools for both aspiring and professional online publishers:

"Publisha offers a new way of bringing content to readers...we're not trying to replicate print magazines, but rather focus on offering a service to bloggers, writers and publishers who don't want the constraints of a traditional magazine layout. Publisha allows even small teams to easily publish across multiple digital platforms..."

Anna Sjöström, the sales, marketing, and PR consultant of the team, added that publishing full-length articles and interactive online content is the heart and soul of the service's framework.

How can Publisha earn from their free service? Albeit you can use it free of charges, the company will take a portion of your ad space to run relevant advertisements in your online magazine. Also, if you exceed the service's 10GB bandwidth limit when you host your content through the Publisha site, you will be charged an additional $2 for every 1GB excess thereof. If you plan to go big time and need more bandwidth and storage space for your publication, the company will charge you a fixed monthly fee of $50 for the 20Gb Professional account and $250 for the 30Gb Enterprise account.
